Our Journey So Far
Freschi & Schiavoni was founded in the 1960s and was the first Italian company to make its fleet suitable for the transportation of air pallets, adapting its warehouse for the receipt, storage and delivery of air cargo outside the airport.
1960-1970
Luciana Freschi and Antonio Schiavoni start the business
1970-1980
First air-truck transportation on behalf of Swissair
1980-1990
Establishment of Freschi & Schiavoni as a company
1990-2000
Opening of Bologna and Florence branches and start of collaboration with Lufthansa Cargo; Relocation of the warehouse from Segrate to Liscate; Obtainment of ISO 9001:2015 certification in Liscate
2000-2010
Obtainment of ENAC certificate as an off-airport agent and subsequent qualification as a Regulated Agent; Establishment of a new company terminal in Vignate (MI); Obtainment of ISO 9001:2015 certification in Vignate
2010-2020
Opening of the Malpensa branch; Obtainment of TAPA FSR (Level A) and TAPA TSR (Level 1) certifications; Construction of a 300m2 temperature-controlled storage facility; Obtainment of GDP and HACCP compliance
2020-present
Obtainment of ISO 14001 certification; Expansion of the temperature-controlled storage facility to 800m² ; Obtainment of ISO 9001:2015 certification for the Florence branch

Our headquarter is located in Vignate (MI), and our 5 branches are strategically positioned between northern and central Italy, in Liscate, Bologna, Florence, Malpensa and Vignate (2). This allows us to ensure widespread coverage to and from the main Italian and European distribution hubs.
